We are committed to increasing the diversity of voices in health communications. This means working hard to find talent in unexpected places and working even harder to ensure that people have the space and support to grow. This will cost us time and money. That is the point, very few things that are free are worthwhile.

It is our vision to create a community where we celebrate difference, and everyone feels empowered and safe. Therefore, we pledge:

We will invest time and money in our community and create career-changing coaching programmes. In real terms this means our team will be less billable than traditional agencies so that their time is protected to support our community.

We will find talent in hidden places and partner with organisations that drive social change.

We will create a recruitment process that removes as much unconscious bias as possible.

We are an anti-racist and anti-ableist company and take this very seriously.

We are committed to equality, and we will never use unpaid talent.

We recognise that peoples’ mental health can be fragile, and we will put in place dedicated support.

We will operate a triple bottom line to measure our financial, social, and environmental performance, giving equal weighting to each.

We will publish our equality data annually, including retention and progression.

We will seek B Corp status and apply for the Blueprint diversity mark (BME PR pros) and other accreditations as soon as we are able.

We will, where possible, source everything from independent, ethical suppliers with a social purpose, from our coffee to our photography. We will treat them with respect and humanity.

We will hold regular Intent: Community events – a series of networking and introduction opportunities for people to learn about health communications and for those wanting to retrain or return to our industry. We are committed to making these sessions as inclusive as possible and we will work with specialist partnerships to spread the word.

We will make our senior team available for mentoring, CV coaching and interview practice.
